Amp Subwoofer
How do i install an amp and subwoofer into my car?
I have a 2007 Nissan Sentra. I just bought a polk Audio Subwoofer with a kicker amp and I need some help installing it. A really detailed step by step walk through would be amazing so that i can follow it when trying to install it.
ok im bored so im gonna gonna help u out step by step. ok firstmake sure u got ur wireing kit. battery wire, ground wire, remote wire rca jacks and speaker wire. if you dont have these get a set u can get it from wal-mart or a audio store ur choose. k now make sure ur head unit is able to have a system hooked up. look on the back of the radio for rca plug ins. if u see them then ok we will use them later. now hook up ur battery wire its pretty simple u will figure it out. run it in to the inside of the car i got mine in my steering wheel hole. then run it through the car unseen to the trunk.then take the ground wire find a bolt that u can hook up the ground wire it. ( the ground wire will be the same size as the battery but alot shorter and the battery wire will probaily be red. so the opposite color) and hook it up to that bolt and that will show u where ur amp will set. now hook up the rcas and make sure its in the OUT holes. NOT the IN. then run it to the back, now hook up the remote wire. it will be the thinest wire u have to the blue wires hooked up on ur wireing harness to ur head unit. then run it back. ok now that is all done. now ur gonna start hooking up the subwoofers and amp. take the ground wire and put it in the ground wire spot on the amp. it will tell u which is which. then take the battery wire to its spot then the remote wire. now take the sub wire and hook it up to the subwoofer cable holes. then hook it up on the amp. then ur ready to go. if it dont kick on check all wires and see if ur amp is on. if its not. and all ur wires are correct. then cut off a little piece of the remote put one side in the battery wire hole on the and the other in the remote side. ( make sure the nagitive side of the battery is disconeccted while messing with wires) then turn on and it will kick on no matter wat. then u can hear how it sounds then unplug the batter wire. until u can get it kickin on right. thats all i can do for u hope this helps
