Is Phoenix Gold a good Car Audio company?

I am considering purchasing two 12" Phoenix Gold RSD subwoofers, and I just wanted some confirmation on whether or not these are good subs. I don't want to pay 180 dollars per sub to have them suck. Plus, their stats fit the amp I've got almost perfectly (MBQuart ONX1.1000D).

phoenix gold is decent but not great. the bigger problem i see is paying $180 each for rsd's. they cost $50 each online and $75 each in my local car audio shop.
