Would you buy a 2007 Nissan Sentra with a resconstructed title?
I am interested in buying a 2007 Nissan Sentra. Owner says they replaced the front bumper and one head light. If I find this acceptable, the owner will give me the VIN number. What should I look for on the carfax? This doesn't seem to be bad damage to me, but I know nothing about cars. Any thoughts? Its $7500 and has 40k miles. Would you buy it considering you were in the market for a Nissan Sentra?
Every time a car has a reconstructed title, it doesn't necessarily means it's a bad thing. I'm driving a Toyota Corolla with a reconstructed title and it runs perfectly and I've had it for 2 years now. It really depends on the accident. Cars get that title quite easily because to fix a bumper and a headlight would cost upwards of $2000 already. If you don't see anything suspicious in the CarFax report, I suggest you get a certified mechanic to check it over for about $100 and if it's fine then you should do some major haggling and grab it.
