Shallow Truck
Sound system for my truck?
Hello all, I have a 2004 GMC Sierra Extended Cab that I just bought a few months and I really want to buy a new sound system for her unit head (, door speakers, subwoofer (one?), and an amplifier) I want a good sound but not the cost tons of $ $. I hear they ABCwarehouse install free, then it would be nice ... but I have not gone because I'm sure they used to give me a good opinion .. they just want to make it more about the money they can ... I just want what would be a good brand name that would not cost a lot and sounds good, and perhaps an estimate of costs. I think I want my budget of about $ 400 since I'm only 19 and I do not have a ton of money since I am $ 550 monthly payments of truck ... Thank you, I listen to rock, country most and some rap. And I need a subwoofer because it is shallow in a truck and I want it in the back seat.
With $ 400 you will not get a subwoofer. $ 400 will get a nice head unit Pioneer in the range of $ 70, and use the rest on speakers. Some say manufactuer that is best for a certain type of speakers than others, but the real important thing to consider is how many ways the speakers spread in. Look for speakers 3-way so that each sound is well represented. I bought some Alpine 3 way for my truck front and rear and I swear its the best thing to actually see the band play live. Sure my hearing has declined but I get the jam as fvck no tomorrow. Go to www.crutchfield.com for REVEIW and speaker size for your truck. Save some money and get their self-installation kits.
