Subzone Dual
will changing boxes make that big of a difference?
i have 2 12" Alpine Type r's powered by a hifonics bxi1208d @ 1 ohm. it hits really hard and sounds alright.. one of my biggest complaints is that they dont hit lows well at all. and i kno part of the reason is cause i have them in a sealed box. so i was wondering how much of a difference you think i will notice by switching to a ported box thats meant for my subs (like the difference in db's, sound of low notes, overall sq.. etc.)

I just recently took my Alpine Type R's out of there sealed boxes and put them in ported boxes.
And man what a difference.
I looked at that box you want to get,and my personal opinion is it's a little to small in CUFT and tuned to high.
You would want them to have about 2cuft each and tuned to about 33 to 34 hz.
