Is there a way to wire two 4 ohm Dual VC subs to a 2 ohm load?
i have Two Subwoofers that are both dual 4 ohm Voice Coils and i wanted them to be wired to a 4 ohm load. is this possible?
and yes I've check fosgates wiring wizard but i just want to make sure.
Your title says says 2, your body says 4, so -- no and yes.
A pair of dvc 4's gives you 3 wiring options. 1 ohm, 4 ohms and 16 ohms. Obviously, 16 is rarely/never used.
1 and 4 are like this: http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/woofer_configurations.asp?Q=2&I=42#results
To get to 2 ohms with 2 subs you either need svc 4's: http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/woofer_configurations.asp?Q=2&I=41#results
Or dvc 2's: http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/woofer_configurations.asp?Q=2&I=22#results
