Why does my 1998 dodge ram 1500 4 wheel drive,shift out of overdrive,when i try to keep a consistent speed.Th?
1998 dodge ram, seems to up shift to down shift from overdrive to 3.Meaning its an automatic.Whats your judgement?
Mopar OD trans are designed to drop out of OD at somewhere around 75% throttle demand, other factors come into play also, vacuum signal (represents load), road speed, shift lever position, etc. Also at WOT the trans will not upshift.
