What is better?
im going to buy another 12 for my car and im lookin at crutchfield and i am lookin at either the JBL Power Series or the Phoenix Gold Radial Series and im not sure what one to buy. The JBL is 30 dollars more and runs 400rms and the phoenix gold runs 500rms? what one should i get its going to be powered from a 500 watt kenwood amp.
If I had to choose between just those two, I'd go with the PG one as they seem to have better quality.
With the amp... is that 500watts RMS or peak? If its peak then your RMS is around 250watts. And if this is the amp you are dead set on using, you may be more inclined to go with the JBL's as the RMS rating of that speaker is more in line with the power you have. As stated, look at the ohm load for the speaker. The way your question's details are written, it looks like you already have one 12 already. if so, what brand is it? what ohm load? what amp is pushing it? This kenwood may not be strong enough to push both efficiently.
