What are the best dimensions for one 18 Inch Subwoofer in ported box?
trying to build a ported subwoofer box using 3/4 mdf; space is not an issue.
It really depends on the sub you are using and who makes it. I have had all different types of 12 and 15 Inch Subs and all had their own recommended size boxes. Check the maker website and you should find the spec. Just guessing but you will need about a 3x2x2.5 foot box with at least one 6inch port or two 4inch ports. ( that is just a guess ) You may need it deeper if you has a over size magnet.
