Need help bilding a custom Ported Sub box?

I want make a ported box for my subs but im not sure how big to make it? I got 2 RE Audio SE12D2 12's to put in my 2002 chevy S-10 Extended Cab. I have plenty of room to fit a box and want to make a custom ported one to fit perfectly back there. The subs website says this about boxes for my subs
Compact Sealed - .75
Optimal Selaed - 1.0
Compact Ported - 1.5@35HZ
Optimal Ported - 2.0@33HZ
So should I build a box that is 4.0 cubic feet@33hz or should I build one thats 3.0 cubic feet@35hz? And if you know would it matter if the box was bigger than 4.0cubic feet? cause someone was tryin to tell me that if the box is bigger than it will be louder and have a deeper soundin bass?? Or could it even be in between 3.0cubic feet and 4.0cubic feet??????????Someone help me out
